They just have to marry someone of the opposite sex. I understand this is of no comfort to gays and lesbians, but the fact remains, both gays and lesbians are free to marry.<BR/><BR/>But this is not an issue of "equal protection" or "freedom". I just explained above, that gays and lesbians are free to marry.<BR/><BR/>However, I don't agree that the U.S. Constitution has been violated here. If homosexuals were banned from marrying <I>anyone</I>, then that would be a federal violation. But that's not the case here.<BR/><BR/>Furthermore, marriage is not regulated or administered at the federal level. Therefore, it's not a federal matter, and hence, there is no violation of the U.S. Constitution.<BR/><BR/>It's strictly a state matter.
