What Happened to the Rain?

This year, thus far, has been one of the driest years on record.

Here in my neck of the woods, we haven't seen so little rainfall in over a hundred years. Riverside County, to be more exact, only had 1.93 inches of rain in all of 2006. It hasn't been that dry since 1883.

So, where's all the rain that Al Gore promised us?

The warming of oceans is supposed to produce an abundance of rain. It's supposed to turn the south west, which is naturally a desert region, into a topical zone similar to the Amazon.

The lack of rain is caused by a cooling of the oceans.

Come on Al! All of SoCal is counting you.

  • The rain moved to Oklahoma and Texas. Wettest summer in recent history, and wettest June EVER for Tulsa.

  • If you do not believe our weather patterns are a train wreck in progress, come to Texas. Every single day it rains. (The paper had a headline weeks ago; "Forty Days and Forty Nights.") A road near me has been closed all month.

My rain gauge shows 3 inches this week. One Texas paper had a headline "Million Dollar Rain." Three weeks later the headline was "Mills County a Disaster Area."

This is after a 3 year drought that was killing trees. So the tubing industry that eked through the drought now takes a hit because the water is too high.

Dream on if you don't think the weather is screwed up. I used to think it was our grandkids who would blame us, now I think it is our kids.

  • That the Earth is warming - there's little doubt. That it's caused by man - there is A LOT OF DOUBT.

But Liberals, who want to kick Capitalism in the nuts so they can somehow bring back Socialism as a possibility - have seen a way to destroy a good economy by handicapping free enterprise with a bunch of "greenhouse gas" limitation non-sense.

That's what it's all about. Mankind are responsible for about 4% of greenhouse gasses - that's it. And that's not enough to rain fire and brimstone from the sky in my lifetime - or my great, great, great, great, grandchildren's time.

If we're responsible for the warming - then it's already too late to do anything about it.

And why do we have to do something about it and China and India gets a pass? Well, the liberals give China a pass because China is a communist government - therefore sacrosanct to all liberals. Not sure why India gets a pass. It's probably because it was George Harrison's favorite country to visit and all elderly liberals were hippies in their younger days.

    Pfft!
