Gore Responds

Al Gore responded to criticisms that he is an energy pig by saying he takes steps to reduce his carbon "footprint" to zero.   He says he "signed up for 100 percent green power through Green Power Switch, installed solar panels and uses compact fluorescent bulbs and other energy-saving technology."

OK, Al.   You've placed your bet.   We call.   Show us your cards.   Give us the proof that you do the things you claim.   And let's see the dates on the documents - let's see that you signed up for "Green Power Switch" before the release of "An Inconvenient Truth."   Let's see that you took these steps before you were criticized by conservative talk show hosts last year for being an energy pig.

  • It would be useless for him to provide the information you're asking of him because ... it's irrelevant. Gore doesn't have a "zero carbon footprint" and only an idiot would believe him when he says he does. It doesn't matter what kind of "feel good" paperwork he produces - his claims are false.

He flies in jets - one of the biggest CO2 generators there are. He drives (or rides) in cars that burn fossil fuels. He stays warm in the winter time using heat produced from coal, or oil (he certainly doesn't use NUCLEAR power - which produces no CO2 - because his environmentalist buddies stopped us from building those plants).

Gore is from Tennessee - he barbeques. He's even held political fundraisers at barbeques - and that char-broiled goodness produces a lot of unnecessary CO2 in the atmosphere.

Gore produces CO2 around the clock - literally every breath he takes!

And he wants to claim that he's taking steps to reduce his carbon footprint to zero? What's he doing? Is he now hunting his own game and consuming it without cooking it? Is he eating nothing but raw vegetables that he grows himself? Is he keeping warm by killing Tennessee Whitetail and skinning them for clothing? Does he not use ice in his coke anymore? Is he going to the bathroom in a hole in his backyard so his waste doesn't have to be processed by a plant that uses some kind of energy produced by some kind of plant that produces CO2?

We found out after the 2000 election just what a "nut-job" Al Gore was. And most of us breathed a sigh of relief because - heck, we ALMOST elected him!! No matter how you feel about GW - you've got to be happy that it was he - not Gore - sitting in the Oval Office when 9-11 happened.

Gore is a "whack job". We know this - why does anyone pay attention to him? It's just too funny!!
