The Wrath Of A Woman Scorned

Oprah Winfrey has her previously favorite memoir author James Frey on the air at this moment.   To be quite blunt, Oprah is kicking his ass all over the set.   Hell hath no wrath like a woman scorned.   A woman scorned hath no wrath even comparable to Oprah when she feels betrayed!

In all fairness to Oprah, she acknowledged that she had been duped by Frey and the publishers and then she proceeded to basically prove Frey a complete liar.   Oprah has completely redeemed herself, at least in my book, which is not a memoir, and is not for sale, and which does contain some embellishments, and which nobody can read except for me.

  • Yeah Oprah - caught the show the other day & at least Frey had the courage to come forward & apologize - so he gets some points, too. Don't forget, although sober, he is still an alcoholic - more of a behavior pattern than an illness now.

  • I don't believe that Oprah was "duped". This book was published back in 2003, and if there is anyone who is acutely aware of what books are being written about them, Oprah is right at the top.

    She had plenty of time to read this book, probably even consulted on it, recommended it to her book club, and you have to admit she's the biggest media machine in the business. If anyone is being duped, it is us.
